Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will be able to demonstrate experience supporting projects varying in scope and complexity with depth in building and facilities projects in commercial mixed use environment. The Assistant Project Manager will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and expertise on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity appropriate to their level of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Project Manager to bring projects to a successful completion
  • Plan and monitor the best allocation of resources within a defined budget
  • Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of how to read project plans and specifications
  • Develop, analyze and evaluate construction schedules, work progress, costing and other reports
  • Ensure submittals are prepared and samples are obtained in a timely manner to guarantee Project Master Schedule is met
  • Review construction documents to submit RFIs in a timely manner
  • Recommend appropriate staffing for each project
  • Ensure quality control methods are consistent across all programs
  • Support all company reporting functions such as daily reports, time cards, etc., meet requirement deadlines
  • Protect company improper ‘At-Risk’ activities especially monitoring adherence to all safety procedures
  • Understand contractual scopes of work
  • Manage Change Orders with proper documentation and within time frames to ensure approval prior to any work being performed
  • Attend site meetings
  • Manage proper correspondence with Customers
  • Maintain project records
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Project Manager

Project Manager

The Project Manager will oversee project progress, from conception to completion and will do it in a timely and cost effective manner. The Project Manager will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Manages project’s budget and coordinate any changes with team members
  • Forecast budget and tract expenditures
  • Liaise with project team, clients, consultants and sub trades to achieve a successful end result
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  • meet contractual conditions and performance
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and RCOs
  • Managing all change orders relating to project construction
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Foster and enhance owner, architect, subcontractor and vendor relations
  • Train and mentor project coordinators and assistant project managers
